Hadu - The Social Venue

TypeScript • React Native • Expo • MongoDB • Node.js • WebSockets

Hadu is a mobile social network designed to bridge the gap between online connections and real-life interactions. The app facilitates spontaneous meetups by allowing users to discover nearby venues and join events happening in real-time, fostering a sense of community.

Built with React Native for cross-platform performance and backed by MongoDB for flexible data modeling, the backend handles complex geolocation queries efficiently. This ensures that users always see relevant, location-based content without significant battery drain.

The project also involved implementing a robust real-time chat system using WebSockets and a push notification service to keep users engaged. These features were critical in creating a seamless loop between discovering an event and actually attending it.

Every project is a unique and fun challenge. I focus on creating things, that are unique and fun to build, while solving real world problems.
